Based in Alexandria,, Virginia, Desiree Marvin serves as workspace researcher with Marvin (formerly Marvin Windows & Doors) and undertakes human experience investigations focused on the workspace. Desiree Marvin looks at the internal and external experiences of workers, and designs programs that are developed, prototyped and implemented at various corporate locations.

Ms. Marvin began with Marvin Home Center in Warroad, Minnesota, in 2005 as a sales associate, where she provided customers with individualized assistance. She also held responsibilities with the technical publications department while working in Warroad. She has been an active shareholder in the family owned parent company and coordinated strategic activities with a wide range of shareholder groups.

Her experience with the company extends to serving Integrity Windows in North Dakota as a Purchasing Assistant and then a Training and Communications specialist at. She then moved to Roanoke, Virginia to green field a new company role of Instructional Designer. Her areas of personal and professional interest include design thinking and home improvement.

For her work, Ms. Marvin and her employed family members have been given the Minnesota Family Business Award, the American Business Ethics Award, and many more. Holding a private pilot license, she enjoys activities such as weight lifting, golf, and hiking in her free time.
